Deliverable 1 Overview:
For the project you selected, submit an associated process hierarchy and prioritization matrix.
Hint – your deliverable should look something like the case study examples on pages 265 (HR processes) and 266 (training process) of the book.
The case study (starting on page 262) starts out by creating a process inventory and prioritization matrix for BB&Z company and might be helpful if you’re unsure where to start on your project. Page 265 is for the HR department and page 266 is for the a given process within the department. Your deliverable can be at any level you decide that will correspond with your full project (remember you’ll use the same project for all deliverables).
The deliverable says process inventory and prioritization matrix, but you just need to submit one matrix since the inventory is included in the prioritization. Again, reference pages 265 and 266 of the case study.
Full Project Overview:
This is the 1st of 4 deliverables for your project. You will need to select a process improvement project you’d like to use for all 4 deliverables. It can be a process at work you’d like to improve, a process you make up for a job you’d like to have (e.g. you’re the Finance manager and want to improve the payroll process), or a process you consume and want to improve (e.g. the class registration process).
The goal of the project is to apply the principles and tools used throughout the class. After all 4 deliverables are complete, you will have implemented a core set of process improvement techniques to complement the instruction and concepts provided in the lectures. read book page From the book 265 and 266
